It is the Azonic Force (sorry about calling it the wrong name) which Al Mann himself gave me permission to use years ago! And if it was Acidus Novus, it amazes me how many people would automatically assume I didn't get permission to use it. It amazes me how many people jumped to that conclusion. This is a collection of classic mentalism. I thought that fact was very well explained in the advertising. Unfortunatately coming upon this much rich material at once can b e damaging to the novice who instead of being taught to fish hbas been given a basket of them. A representation of the kind of material which normally takes years to gather and appreciate. The DVD do represent a culling of excellent material. Acidus Novus has also been wrongly credited to Al Mann It is the work of Millard Longman who is alive and well and has not indicated that his permission was given. Not everything on the DVDs is Richard's or has fallen into the public domain.įor example botht he Hoy material and Acidus Novus are under copyright. I wanted to show Al's great thinking and how you could create a whole routine with just an index card and a paper clip. When I did Mind Mysteries I decided not to include it, but it seemed perfect for ETMMM. He gave me permission, but the video never materialized.
Back then I was planning to do a follow up to my video "Challenge Magic" called "Challenge Mentalism." I asked Al if I could include the Azonic Force on that since I had given him a number of routines and ideas for his own books. Al and I were great friends and I had used the move since I first got the book in 1979 (one of the first if not the first) I still use it to this day.

That effect was contributed by Millard Longman and I have written about that and my use of the move in Mind Mysteries in other threads. That is the name of the "book" that Acidus Novus was published in. Let me clarify these posts about Acidus Plus.
